How to start a laptop with no hard disk drive installed? - hard drive boot disk dvd players and drives

I was a new laptop and hard drive and I want to buy cheap another. I watch the Notebook on DVD movies to DVD-ROM. other part of my work laptop, but I can not run a Disk Operating System. can someone please tell me how the computer with a USB flash drive or a CD-ISO mode. Floppy disks are so old and difficult to access for me is one that works. The BIOS does not have a USB option in the Start menu. I can boot from the DVD player is not an ISO, you can download and use to tell the computer from a USB device?

I have a USB flash drive 4 gig drive for the solid state, if possible, use restart the laptop.

    DVD players are much cheaper than laptops. Someone exchange for a player or to sell what you have and buy a player.

  3. Use a CD of Ubuntu. Insert the disk, do you boot the machine and the Start menu, choose from the CD, do not choose to install. If you load a standard desktop Ubuntu.

  5. There are operating systems like Knoppix from a CD or DVD to run ...
    and could, in theory, you probably have a bootable CD that loads an operating system with a miniature camera.
    The main problem seems to have some software somewhere that you can use your DVD player. DVD players use software to decode the DVD, and that questions of legal software is a number associated with.
    I like that others think it would probably be cheaper to find a hard drive somewhere.
    You could probably price of your needs from Newegg.com or somewhere similar.
